Spring is nearly here!

Spring is nearly here! I can tell as I check my weekly mileage and I’m back to at least 1,000 miles a week in the car again. Now I just need enough daylight to get some bike miles in too.

Days like yesterday are great for moral. The temps were warm enough to ride outside even though the winds and available daylight may have been against me a few of us in Defiance, Ohio waged on and put in a great 15 miles last night. I think all of us wished it could have been more miles but someone pulled the light switch and it appeared to suddenly get dark. Here’s a quick view of our ride.

On this ride I was able to bring out one of my demo bikes, the Raleigh Revenio 3.0. I can’t say enough positive about this bike. The ride is smooth and predictable. The 105 spec works extremely well on this bike. And though I don’t fully take advantage of the more upright riding position this bike can provide, I did find the bike to be very comfortable in the cockpit. I highly recommend checking this bike out at your local Raleigh bike shop.

As I make the desperate plead for more light (which I hear happens this weekend with daylight savings time) so I can get on the road bike, I can only imagine the frustration that must be felt from the Mountain Bike community as more rain falls and snow is predicted in at least NE Ohio. Take comfort in the fact that we are only 52 days away from the 331 Promotions season opener, the Vulture’s Knob Kickoff Party on April 30th. I’m planning on being there with a few Raleigh 29ers for you to demo. If you have been wanting to test ride a belt drive bike in the mud search out the black Raleigh tent and I will be able to assist. Here’s a quick link to the event. Hope to see you there.

Until next time, keep the rubber side down.
